ABOUT

It's 1917, and deep inside the Allied trenches, Captain Edmund Blackadder is an intelligent, self-centered officer whose aim is to survive until the war is over. He is assisted by the eager but stupid Lt. George Colthurst and the moronic, grungy Private Baldrick. Blackadder's commander is the insane General Melchett, who is assisted by Blackadder's rival Captain Darling...and Edmund will stop at nothing to avoid going 'over the top'.

We present four episodes from the hit BBC sitcom:

  • 'Captain Cook' - Blackadder learns of a secret mission in search of a talented artist within the Trenches;

  • 'Corporal Punishment' - Edmund is put on court martial for the 'murder' of General Melchett's beloved pigeon 'Speckled Jim';

  • 'Major Star' - when the Russians pull out of the war, the way to increase morale is a music hall type concert for the men, but George finds himself in a sticky situation;

  • 'Goodbyeee' - the day arrives when the men are ordered to advance into No Man's Land, but can Blackadder make one last ditch attempt to avoid the inevitable push?
